Bikes 4 Tykes – A Team Building Event That Benefits Your Team AND Local Children!

December 28, 2008

Bikes 4 Tykes is a really unique team building event that combines an opportunity for your staff to hone skills like communication, creativity, leadership and teamwork, with a chance to give back to their local community.

This team building event starts by the formation of several different teams depending on the size of your group.  Then, everyone is informed of their goal; to build a bike.  The problem for them though is that they have no parts!

The parts for all of the bikes must be earned through the completion of different challenges, which can be designed to meet any and all of your objectives for your team.  Once the bikes are completed, a qualified bike mechanic will inspect them and report any defects to the judges.  The team to build their bike to 100% first will be the winner.

Now, here comes the charitable part.  During this whole time, you team is led to believe this is simply a team building exercise; they aren’t informed of the final destination of the bikes that they’re building.  Once all the teams have completed their bikes though, the children will be brought in, and your teams will each get to give their newly built bikes to a needy child.

This creates a very powerful experience for your staff, one that they’ll remember, and in turn, will help them to remember all that they learned during this team building event for a long time to come!

All you need to do to schedule Bikes 4 Tykes for your team is to ring 1 300 267 738 and we’ll start working on the details today!

Jungle Drums – The Power of Music and Team Building Combine to Show the Importance and Effectiveness of Teamwork

December 26, 2008

This unique team building activity will give your staff a chance to enjoy making music as a group.  It’s great for any number of participants and will have your team buzzing for months to come!

Most importantly though is how working together to create a cohesive beat with their drums will help them understand more about working together at the office to create a cohesive and effective team.  To make the music work they must communicate, follow instructions while still being creative, and make their mark individually while working within the team; all important aspects of a well functioning company team too.

Through this team building activity, they’ll also vividly see that there is no music without the group, and each member’s performance affects the group as a whole; sounds just like how things work at the office. The negatives and positives of working as a team are much more tangible and immediate through music though.  This provides your participants with a concrete understanding of teamwork and unity that they can easily transfer to their working relationships back at the company.  Plus, it’s a lot of fun banging those drums!

To give your team the opportunity to participate in Jungle Drums just ring 1 300 267 738.  We’ll provide the instruments, and make all the necessary arrangements, all you need to do is to gather your team and enjoy!

City Scramble – Team Building in the CBD!

December 23, 2008

During this exciting team building game, your team will be challenged with gaining as many points as possible by completing certain tasks (that can either be recreational or address certain team building goals; or both).  Then, the team with the most points at the end is crowned the winner!

The best part of this unique event is that all of the tasks will take place in and around the Capital City!  Your team will be given an instruction booklet outlining where the various activity stations are.  They’ll also be given some cash as well as a camera and a few other supplies.  They must work closely together to get to the stations on time and complete the tasks to earn the points.

City Scramble isn’t only fun though, there are many fantastic opportunities to work on team building skills throughout this activity regardless of whether you decide to have the tasks be recreational or more team building oriented.  This game encourages strategy, creativity, communication and the ability to follow instructions, among other things.

To learn more about City Scramble and all the other team building games we offer just ring 1 300 267 738.

Why is Team Building Important for my Company Staff?

December 21, 2008

Team building activities are an essential piece of having an office or corporation that runs smoothly.  Sure, you can make do without them, but your team won’t be the “well oiled machine” it could be if you were to provide them with team building opportunities on a regular basis.

This is because regular participation in team building activities will benefit your staff and company in a myriad of different ways.  They’ll help your staff to create shared bonds, hone their leadership skills, improve communication, and increase their creativity as well as their overall motivation.

Team building events and activities also provide your company staff with the opportunity to increase their understanding of the value of team work.  Often, employees become so concerned with their role and responsibilities that they forget that they’re part of a larger team.  But, working together is key in helping promote overall office efficiency and success.

Once you’re ready to see the proof of these benefits for yourself, just call 1 300 267 738.  We can provide you with all the information you need about the success of team building activities and help you organise an event for your team that will be guaranteed to succeed!

December 18, 2008

If your Melbourne team is ready for a team building event, The Agenda is likely just what you’re looking for.  This event contains just the right balance of fun and challenge so you know your staff are enjoying themselves while also learning new team building skills.  And, The Agenda can accommodate up to 100 participants, so it’s perfect for a conference and also as a full company team building event.

Getting the whole corporation together can be a very effective way of creating camaraderie as well as trust among all your staff members.  And, it will help all levels of your team see how essential it is to work together regardless of their position at the company.

During the Agenda we’ll challenge your team through several different events like 3D Minefield (one member leads the other, who is blindfolded, through a “minefield” of mouse traps!) or the Cat Juggle (several stuffed cats are thrown about the circle and everyone has to work together to keep them from falling to the ground).  After each event a debriefing session will be held, which will help solidify the experiences created from participation in the different events.

The Agenda really is an excellent option if you’re looking to create a fun learning experience for your team (large or small) or conference group in Melbourne; or anywhere else in Australia for that matter.  To schedule The Agenda for your team, just ring 1 300 267 738 and we’ll get started on the preparations for your highly successful team building event.

Kayaking, A Fun, Relaxing and Effective Team Building Activity

December 16, 2008

Kayaking is a very fun sport, and a really effective team building activity too!  It is simply impossible to paddle a double kayak without both members working closely together, and as a result, this makes Kayaking a great way to help your staff learn the importance of team work.

In addition, Kayaking creates opportunities for team bonding, which is another essential piece of forming a strong team.  As your team begins to see the importance of team work and bonding through this unique team building activity, they’ll take these experiences and skills back to the office which in turn will help productivity and the functioning of the company in general.

But, one of the best things of all about kayaking is how enjoyable it is.  Everyone will be able to get out and into the water.  They’ll enjoy how the boat moves through the water and, no one has to have any experience kayaking at all to make kayaking a great team building activity.

To schedule a Kayaking team building activity for your staff just ring 1 300 267 738; we’ll bring the boats and everything else you’ll need to have an awesome day on the water!

What are the Benefits of Hiring a Team Building Bureau to Help Organise Your Events?

December 11, 2008

The benefits of hiring a team building bureau are many; most importantly you’ll receive guidance and support that will help you make the right decision regarding the team building activity you select for your event so that everything runs smoothly and your staff get the training and experience they need.

A team building bureau gives you the ability to access their experience in the field and their understanding of what works and what doesn’t.  They can suggest different events that will meet your needs and help you to select the team building activity that will work best with and for your staff.

You’ll then get proposals that include all the particulars of the events and what the charges will be.  There’s no leg work on your part for any of this so you can devote your time to all of your other responsibilities; thereby saving you not only time but money too.

By hiring a team building bureau you’ll also be assured that your team building facilitator will be top notch and that your event will go off without a hitch!  If you’d like to talk get more information about how a team building bureau can benefit you and your company, just ring 1 300 267 738.
