“Howzat” Corporate Cricket Day
January 27, 2008
Ever wondered what it would be like to face Australian pace bowling legend Geoffrey Lawson? Ah, Cricket… It ’s the sport of gentlemen where ladies can excel too!!
“HOWZAT” – the roar goes up from the stands, the flags wave, whistles blow, hand clackers buzz, the “ducks” bob up and down and the national anthem is piped across the field. The perfect setting for your Corporate Cricket Day.
This is a fun event that suits any staff, regardless of fitness levels. There are a number of ways the game can be played so that everyone gets to join in the fun - and the competition! Even better, it is a great event to build spectator activities around, from BBQ’s and other off field events, to themed Aussie support squads and “Balmy Armies”
From groups of 20 to a cast of 100’s, there are lots off opportunities for your company to benefit. It can be played at places like the actual Don Bradman Oval in Bowral, to a specially prepared pitch ina council approved park in your area.
With any corporate event it is important to have event managers specifically to ensure that all the things that need to happen before, and on the day, are coordinated successfully. The correct preparation and behind the scenes facilitation are important in making even seemingly simple events seamless and enjoyable for all participants. Not only that, but also some of the “little extras” that are added to a day to make it special are often conceived and implemented during the preparation process.
