Need a Unique Team Building Event? Try The Agenda!
August 20, 2008
The Agenda is a team building event that incorporates several mini-activities into one. This team building event is a great way for your team to get together outside, and enjoy some exciting, yet beneficial activities together.
This unique team building event includes up to 5 different activities like The Cat Juggle. Of course the cats aren’t real, but the fun is! Your team will form a very large circle, and then several stuffed cats will come out. The idea is to work together to make sure not one cat touches the ground while throwing them all around the circle. As you can imagine, this takes a lot of teamwork and communication, and is absolutely hilarious.
Another example of an activity that is part of this great team building event is the 3D Mine Field. Your team is broken up into groups of 2. One member starts as the worker the other the manager. They must rescue objects (depending on your company these could be clients, accounts, etc) without setting off any of the mines (mouse traps). The trick is the worker is blindfolded and the manager must guide her/him to the object while maneuvering the worker safely through the mine field. The participants will switch back and forth in the roles of worker and manager until all objects are retrieved. Each participant will be working on skills like trust, communication, listening, leadership, support, and so much more.
Because of the variety in the activities as well as the inherent learning built into each one, The Agenda is a fantastic team building event for a wide variety of different teams. If you’d like to see if The Agenda would be right for your next team building event, just ring 1 300 267 738. We’ll help you design the ultimate team building day for your staff that will provide them with many learning opportunities as well as a lot of fun!

The Amazing Race Around Perth; The TV Show Turned Into a Team Building Activity Right Here in Perth!
July 31, 2008
The Amazing Race Around Perth is a great option for a team building activity. Just like the TV show, your staff will need to work in teams to get to each required checkpoint and complete all the challenges along the way.
This team building event will begin with a pre race facilitation session in which each team member is asked to think about their individual hurdles to effective communication. Since communication is an essential part of The Amazing Race Around Perth (and smooth team functioning at the office), each staff member will need to make a commitment to work on their communication skills and overcome their self identified hurdles.
The race will begin at a pre-determined location in Perth. Once there and ready to go each team will be given a fun brainteaser. This will serve to challenge them but to also stagger their start time! They’ll also be given their resource kit containing things like a map, travel vouchers, cash, directions and the rules for the day.
The first step in this team building activity is catching the bus to Barrack St. where each team will scramble to the ferry dock in search of a facilitator who will give them the first clue. When they get their clue envelope, they’ll receive instructions, directions and a team challenge. Successfully completing a team challenge will give your team the opportunity to earn more cash so they can take faster modes of transportation!
Next, they’ll head somewhere in South Perth where they’ll be required to get their picture taken, as a group, with an American tourist! Once they do this, they’ll be given another clue envelope.
Following the directions in the next clue envelope, your team will be led to different check points on their way to Kings Park via the Narrows Interchange parkland by climbing up Jacob’s Ladder. At each checkpoint the teams will be required to collect certain items or information to show they were there.
As they keep going on this team building activity, they’ll continue to be challenged with brainteasers as well as with how to find their way to other locations such as the Ore Obelisk and a famous hotel. To make sure everyone is safe, they’ll be given a number to call if they get lost, can’t find transport, etc; but they’ll also receive a time penalty at the end of the race.
This is a really excellent team building activity, and a very popular one too! If you’d like to explore holding The Amazing Race Around Perth for your staff, just call 1 300 267 738. Your team will be talking about this event for months to come, and in addition to having a great time together, they’ll learn a lot too!

Executive Adventure Team Building Event
May 26, 2008
The Executive Adventure team building event is like nothing else. Your staff will spend a full 24 hours together on a 10,000 acre working cattle station in Queensland’s Lockyer Valley. They will have to work together to get things done and to get where they need to go.
Prior to the event a specialist will work with the team through a unique 2 hr communication and leadership workshop at the office. During this workshop, each participant will be provided with his or her own profile highlighting their strengths with regards to leadership and communication skills, and they are encouraged to utilize these strengths during the team building event.
Throughout their adventure in Queensland, participants will need to complete various chores and challenges associated with remote living. They hunt for their food (in the form of a clay pigeon shoot – the event comes complete with catering!), figure out campfire cooking, read maps and find the required routes, and even work with horses to encourage the animals to transport them! While your executive team is taking care of all of these “chores” they are being monitored and feedback is provided to them by the team building event staff.
After the team building event, there will be individualized feedback provided to all the executive team members. Team building event staff will also work with your staff on strategies to help them translate all that they learned during this excellent team building event to their work at the office.
