What Inspired Some Of Our Team Building Activities
September 13, 2009
I am sure most of you dream of being part of reality TV shows. We are pleased to inform you that some of our team building activities are inspired by your favorite reality TV shows. The activities are not all exactly alike the original but rest assured, just as fun. We adapt parts of the game which we can incorporate team building and bring out what you want from your people.
Some of our team building activies that are inspired by TV Shows include:
Survivor
This team building activity gives you the same challenges of the popular reality TV show, Survivor. Except that, this activity is brings a lot more fun. The delegates will be divided into two teams, which will be called tribes. Throughout the day, each tribe will be tested in a number of physical, recreational and problem solving tribal challenges to be the last tribe standing. Immunity challenges are designed to meet your particular requirements. These may range from physical to mentally challenging.
Amazing Race Around
Just like how the game goes on TV, teams will have to complete tasks for them to move on to the next destination. Tasks differ from physical challenges to problem solving pieces, even multi-sensory puzzlers and other interactive activities. They’re really fun and engaging! Moreover, they promote quick thinking, creativity, communication, teamwork, and a lot more skills applicable inside the office!
Our Restaurant Rules
This event is a version of the foodies’ favourite game show, the Iron Chef. It is a great stage for teams to challenge each other’s culinary powers, and an excellent opportunity for them to further understand teamwork and working under pressure. Through the event, teams are expected to learn how to rely on each other’s members to be able to execute all tasks efficiently. Participants should be able to develop their creative thinking, decision making, communication and interaction skills through the activity.

Team Building “Survivor” Style
May 2, 2009
We’ve noticed that styling our team building events to popular television shows really work, not only in terms of attracting people’s attention, but in the overall success of the event as an effective team building activity. Survivor has been a highly subscribed show, and no doubt has got many people want to be in the game one time or another.
Since we incorporated the concept of the show to our very own Corporate Survivor, the success of the show extended to our Survivor-themed team building event. Companies who have already played would continue to rave on the event. It’s a great way to have fun, learn and develop skills, and build better working relationships all in one event.
Just like in the show, the participants will be divided into tribes which will be put through many different kinds of challenges. But unlike on TV, tribes here will have to work together to be the last surviving team. Team building comes in custom planned challenges based on what outcome you want your people to achieve in the end.
We have a lot of sample tribal challenges like the Obstacle Course, a race to be completed by every member of the team, one by one, once through and back. Another is the Water Transfer, where teams have to transfer water from the well into their tub using only a leaky bucket. Other usual challenges are the Red Adair, Mind Boggler and the Riddler. But you can include any challenge you want to!
Corporate Survivor has its own Tribal Council, too, which pretty much makes for the hardest challenge. Just like in the show, tribes will be breaking alliances soon as they have formed one, so teams face the greater challenge of having to switch loyalties and focusing on the survival of their own team. Nonetheless with all challenges heavy and light, teams are surely up for a day of excitement and fun competition.

Corporate Survivor Team Building Event Idea
June 2, 2008
If you are looking for an excellent team building event for your office staff in Brisbane, or even for your next conference, Corporate Survivor could be it! If you’ve seen Survivor on TV you can get the basic idea for this event, however, instead of individuals within the team “surviving” it is the whole team’s survival that matters!
Once everyone has arrived to this team building event in Brisbane, they are broken up into tribes, and given colored bandanas (to denote tribe membership of course!). Then, the tribe will create a name for itself. After all these formalities, the tribes are off on the first Tribal Challenge.
Some of the options for Tribal Challenges include Water Transfer, in which tribes compete to see who can get the most water from the well into their water tub, using a leaky bucket! Or Red Adair where tribes compete to extinguish an oil fire that threatens their food stores; the twist is, the tribe is only given a rope, a hook and a few simple instructions. Then there is the Riddler! Tribes must answer a series of general knowledge questions, and if they get them correct, each tribe member is permitted the opportunity to pop an “immunity balloon” of a member of another tribe, who got the answer wrong.
All of the different tribal challenges of the Corporate Survival team building event are made to bring out the best of your staff. The tribal challenges are fun, yet also designed to provide opportunities for your staff to practice decision making skills, creativity, unity, and communication skills. With this unique team building event, you may even have the opportunity to learn something new about your staff members!
The winner of this team building event is determined by how many immunity balloons each team has, and of course the team with the highest amount wins! Turning Survivor into more of a team sport, has made us able to offer a unique team building event that will surely help your staff reach its goals, as well as become a more cohesive team.
If you are ready to arrange the Corporate Survival Team Building Event for your next team building day or conference in Brisbane, ring 1 300 267 738, and we’ll be happy to work with you to create the bests team building event for your specific needs!
