No One Will Be Left Out In These Team Building Events
August 21, 2009
How are you going to have fun in a team building event if you cannot participate? Some team building activities require too much expertise at a skill to be done. Some can only suit just a part of a group, (e.g. males-only or females-only type of activities). You might be surprised that there are actually team building activities where everyone can participate, have fun creating common bonds, and learn to function as a team.
The 3 team building activities below, are easy for the majority of people to have fun participating in, require no expertise and, most importantly, help develop skills required for successful teamwork.
Create different rhythms and sounds with the drums; and in the end produce amazing music by working together. In playing drums, you don’t need to memorize intricate finger works just like in playing guitar or piano. All you need it to tap, and you won’t realize that you’re already creating music. Also, Playing in a musical group creates a wonderful sensation of being in a successful team. In addition, music is an excellent way to relieve any stress they may have from work!
Kayaking requires two employees to work together and this facilitates team building, as does the different challenges along the route that groups must navigate together using cooperation and sharp decision making skills. It is a sport that doesn’t take too much time to master to the point of enjoyment, and is an exciting way for everyone to spend the day.
Another sport that is easy to learn how to play and has simple rules is volleball. This sport encourages group participation, and creates space for healthy competition, something most teams require to function at their peak performance level. Also, playing volleyball is a team building activity that gets everyone exercising and enjoying a healthy competition.

Great Team Building Events Begin with Good Ideas
November 22, 2008
If you’re planning a staff development day, the success of your event depends largely on the ideas for the team building activities that the participants will engage in.
Poorly developed or unexciting games will most definitely lead to an event that is a complete disaster, and worse, a waste of people’s precious time. But, if you are able to create team building activities that your staff can really enjoy and learn from at the same time, your entire event will be a success.
Unfortunately, it often takes someone with a lot of experience to develop a team building game or activity that will really be effective; especially if you have certain outcomes you’d like to meet within the activities. And, while it may seem like hiring a team building company to help you organise your event is a large expense, in the long run, it will likely save you a lot of time and money.
When you work with a quality team building facilitator, you can be sure that the event ideas they offer you have been tested and proven to be successful and exciting. This will make your job a lot easier and your team building event will likely get you quite a few accolades from your staff; all because you started with good, solid ideas!
If you’d like to explore some ideas for team building games and activities that are proven and guaranteed to be successful, just call 1 300 267 738. We’ve got years of experience in the team building field and are happy to share all our ideas with you in order to help make your team building event one to remember!

Take Your Team on an Exciting Adventure with The Great Race!
November 8, 2008
Your team will really enjoy The Great Race team building activity. When they arrive to the site, they’ll be divided up in to teams, and the rest of the day will be spent with each team trying to win The Great Race!
But, in order to get to the finish line and win this team building activity, they must find, and pass through several “countries”. In each country, they’ll have to complete challenges that are easily customisable to your staff development needs. The trick here though is that there is usually at least 2 different ways to complete the challenge. One may be faster, but more difficult, while the other will make the task easy to complete, but will likely take longer.
They will also be provided with different transportation options. Depending on the location and the budget you can select Harley Davidson’s, Speedboats, Helicopters, and other exciting modes of transportation. Either way though, there will also be a 12 seater min-bus provided to each team by The Great Race organisers.
Each team must work together and use creative decision making and other team building skills to complete The Great Race, and the ones to get their first will win the day!
If you think this team building activity would work well with your team, call 1 300 267 738. We’ll arrange everything and create fantastic team building day for your entire staff!
